Congratulations to our Superstar Chis Myers on making the Semi-Finals of the 2024-25 NSW State Senior Singles. A stellar performance from Chris winning all three of her Sectional Rounds to rocket into the Final Series.
At the time of writing our Bowls News Chrissy was in a battle competing against Lyn Briggs from Iluka where she was behind 11-18 clawing her way back to 20-21 before Lyn made a break to win the Semi. Great comeback Chrissy.
South Tamworth is well represented at the 2024-25 NSW State Fours Championships competing in four out of the five disciplines.
Our Senior Women's and Senior Men's Fours North West Regional Champions together with our Women's and Men's North West Regional Champions begin their State Championships campaigns on Monday April 7th. Play well Southies!
Well we had yet another fantastic Autumn Day for the 2nd Annual Mars Vs Venus Memorial Day. Where we take time to pause for a moment at the beginning of play to reflect on times had with our South Bowling Club members that have passed on. Be they family or friends or acquaintances that we have played with or against or even watched play they will always be remembered on this special day here at South Bowlo. This year the Men added their name to the Trophy for the 2nd Year. Coming in in 1st position was Ron Sullivan, Gordon Cheney and Joe Pizzutti. 2nd place was filled by Davey Artis, Nev Dart and Drew Nichols and 3rd was Handles, Noel Edgar and John Stuart. However the Ladies had their revenge by taking out the Shootout Challenge with Lynelle Crough the Winner and Annie Herden Runner Up, well done ladies.
All the best to our Super Sixes Open Pennant Side when they compete in the North West Regional Finals this coming weekend at North Tamworth.
We still require teams for our Autumn Pairs to be played this Thursday April 10th. The Autumn Pairs has great prizemoney for a one day midweek Carnival with $900 to the Winners, $500 to 2nd $300 for 3rd & $150 with 4th receiving $160 & 5th $140
